ROMANIA IS TODAY AT THE CROSSROADS OF HISTORY

Although we enter the year of the Centenary of the Great Union, desideratum reached after a struggle of centuries after the First Union of Mihai Viteazul in 1600, Romania is more divided, more alienated and more devoid of any horizons than ever.

The vital energies of society are blocked into irresponsibility. While some of our neighbors are confident in the future, we are witnessing stagnation (underdevelopment), the gone flames of the past, as well as the notion of secrecy and terror of the era of Securitate 2.0. We are witnessing the collapse of trust in the state institutions, the fear of the future, the growth of an oppressive propaganda apparatus that was unimaginable in the years after we regained our Freedom with spilled blood in December 1989.

After nearly 30 years since the revolution we see the hopes and dreams of an entire generation collapsing under the boot of the totalitarian state. We are at this point because of the political irresponsibility that led to the State’s gangrene, the institutional blockade, the development of a repressive system that has rapidly gone from soft power to hard power, from persuasion to the dissolution of the opponents of the New Global Utopia. It was created a deep state alien to any national aspiration, whose goal is domination by inoculation of fear and abuse of power.

The train of democracy and respect for the Constitution derailed in the station.

At 100 years after the country’s reunification, Romania is facing one of the most altered and unnatural periods in our modern history. From a people awaiting the unleashing of the national forces for the ultimate salvation from the clutches of totalitarianism and the recovery of the frostiness left behind by the former dictators, today the Romanians are going abroad, because they are totally devoid of prospects at home. Currently, we have the world’s largest exodus in a state that is not at war. Although we are part of the European Union, we have become a periphery that exports labor and a marketplace where ambassadors of other states intervene brutally in the life of the state, violating any international treaties.

Today, the Romanians need, more than ever, to regain their dignity in their own country. A country whose master must be the Romanian people, in a true state of law, according to the Constitution. Unfortunately, today, the dignity of the Romanians is trampled by the Romanian state itself.

Today we see images I thought buried in the most unbearable memories of history: individuals we have not chosen for us have decided that we must bow our heads and not lead our destinies! They have chosen to kneel us to others instead of letting us take the future as we want, we know and we believe!

Our country has been abducted. We have all been taken by a hidden, illegitimate and abusive power, which, by resorting to subversion, blackmail, threats, determines political decisions, thus undermining the democratic mechanisms established by the Constitution and the laws of the country.

This power does not serve the purpose of the people, it is a corrupted power made up of people and interest groups from the sphere of force institutions and subordinated to external commandments, and it replaced the legitimate political power, the result of expressing the will of the Romanian people through free and democratic elections. This power has infiltrated most state institutions and maintains its power and influence through the skillful manipulation of the collective emotions of some well-intentioned segments of the population.

Our hopes and dreams have all been manipulated by fiction and fraud. Unfortunately, a poor political class, largely made up of unprepared, blackmailing people, who put their personal interests above the interests of the Romanians and of Romania, allowed the establishment and perpetuation of this state of affairs, which can be defined as: the loss of national sovereignty, the suppression of the will of the Romanian people. External forces have intervened in the life of Romania, falling us apart and draining our vital force.

The effects of the loss of the national sovereignty of the Romanian people are catastrophic and are felt at all levels of the existence of Romanian society: political, economic and social-cultural. At political level, we do not choose what we think is best for Romania, but we carry on the half-measure of the “lesser evil”. In the recent months, I have shown excessive involvement of various institutions of the Dark State in our political outfits, including the creation of new parties and embedding agents within well-established political parties. At economic level, we put the interests of partner countries or transnational companies above the interests of our compatriots or Romanian companies. Romanians who want to work become poorer, and the middle class, especially local entrepreneurship, is in permanent danger of extinction. At social-cultural level, we apply, by foreign command, policies which flagrantly contradict our aspirations to live in a Romania of civilization based on the values of Christian morality, on the traditions of the Romanian people.

I believe that this state of affairs endangers the very existence of the Romanian people itself and must, as a matter of urgency, be corrected.

This is a moral cause.

This is a civic revitalization campaign.

This is a call for action!

Anyone can participate. Whether they are politically positioned to the left or right, young, mature and elderly – all those who care about Romania. All those who, like me, love Romania.

Therefore, I propose the following points as action directions for regaining our dignity:

I. The people decide sovereignly!

The establishment, by Constitution and Organic Law, of the obligation of all national sovereignty institutions involved in the law-making process (Parliament, President, Government) to submit by referendum any major decision regarding the sovereignty and independence of Romania.

The compulsoriness imposed on the political class to respect the will of the Romanians.

II. A Constitution of Clarity and Balance between Powers

The revision of the Constitution in order to eliminate the ambiguities of powers and competences among the institutions of the three powers in the state; the clarification of the form of government through national consultation; the limitation of the possibility of the Government to legislate by means of emergency ordinances. This is a form of civil abuse that while being used in normal times is only saved for totalitarian regimes.

I have presented evidence of direct involvement of the services in the judicial process, I have submitted to the parliament evidence of members of the judicial sector serving under the services, against the constitution, in act of treason against the people and the basic right for equal justice.

Unambiguous regulation of the primordial role and respect for citizens’ rights in front of state institutions.

III. The Secret services subordinated to the legitimate authorities of the Romanian people

A new legislative package on national security to strengthen the parliamentary control over services, the withdrawal of covered officers from justice and control institutions, the ban on carrying out economic activities covered by secret services, the limitation of their possibility to supervise their own citizens, under drastic criminal sanctions.

A radical, broad and structural reform of information services.

The drastic reduction of allocated budgets and their regulation exclusively to combat real threats to national security: terrorism, espionage, organized crime.

The establishment of a single national surveillance agency (American model) that will be responsible for carrying out all technical interceptions, under the authority of Parliament, and that will ensure the respect of the citizens’ rights.

The reduction of the number of secret services by merging and redistributing competencies.

The compliance with NATO standards by passing secret services from a military system to a civilian system.

The use of legislation to fight terror to persecute our own citizens is an act of war against our own people and our own country. We will promote any necessary action to put an end to the actions of the “New Securitate”. It is time to get rid of any form of manifestation of the totalitarian state that destroyed people and destinies until December 22, 1989 and afterwards.

IV. A judicial system to make justice to the Romanians

Justice needs to be reformed radically to ensure its functioning for the benefit of citizens rather than for the occult power groups: the abolition of magistrate status for prosecutors, these being part of the executive power, the election of prosecutors by direct voting on the American model, the establishment of the judge’s institution of instruction, as guarantor of the fairness and equity of all phases of the criminal process; harsh law on the liability of magistrates and stronger disciplinary sanction mechanisms by transforming the Judicial Inspection into an independent body based on the CCR model; procedural rules that impose celerity in civil and administrative proceedings, which represent the overwhelming majority of the cases pending before the courts.

Any act performed by a prosecutor or by a Judge, contradicting the constitution or in contradiction with their oath, will be considered an act of treason.

The introduction of real forms of legal liability of magistrates.

V. Promoting Romanian interests and affirming the dignity of the Romanians in the European Union and in relation to the allied and partner states

The re-discussion of some chapters of the Accession Treaty that are obviously unfavorable to Romania – the liberalization of the energy market, the liberalization of the agricultural land market, etc .; the positioning of Romania, together with the Vișegrad Group countries, against the federalization of Europe and the diminishing of the power of the EU institutions vis-à-vis the member states; the refusal of any quotas of immigrants from Arab countries or from Africa.

Romania is neither a servant of Angela Merkel, nor of Eurocracy in Brussels!

VI. In Economy – the Romanians First!

Protecting and strengthening the Romanian capital by stopping the preferential treatment granted to foreign capital and abuses against domestic capital; tightening legislation that prevents and sanctions hostile takeover of companies; tax amnesty; prevention of the National Project to increase the Gross Domestic Product and to protect the natural resources of Romania, including through the redeeming of the companies that exploit them; orienting the budgetary efforts of the state towards generating facilities for the Romanians who want to return to Romania.

The prohibition of spoiling the natural resources of Romania.

The prohibition of any deforestation for a period of 10 years.

VII. Promotion and affirmation of moral values and Romanian traditions; Romania pro-life

Combating demographic catastrophe must become a priority of national security. Therefore, we propose a national, cross-party consensus in public policies to encourage birth.

“Education Charter” – the reform of public education, focused on promoting national values and moral virtues; public policies to encourage birth; encouraging increased church involvement in social life – education, health, social assistance. Last but not least, the definition by Constitution of marriage as being based on union between man and woman, by urgently following the approach of the Romanian civil society (over 3 million signatures), which initiated this constitutional process.

This manifest is open to the public debate of all the Romanians who want to regain their dignity. This manifesto is meant to unite a society far too divided from those who exercise their power by sowing hatred towards what we have best as a people and towards ourselves. This manifesto, launched on the eve of the Great Romanian Centennial, calls to action all the Romanians determined by the conviction that each of us, and all of us together, have the right to live in a free, rich and dignified country, as well as the obligation to leave such a Romania inheritance to our children.
